Tras conocerse a los nominados a los Globos de Oro el lunes y los ganadores de los Critics Choice Awards, se difundió el listado de los elegidos para los SAG Awards, premios del Sindicato de Actores de Hollywood.
El drama Manchester by the Sea consiguió el mayor número de nominaciones, incluyendo a mejor elenco, mejor actor para Casey Affleck y mejores actuaciones de reparto para Michelle Williams y Lucas Hedges.
Las películas Moonlight y Fences obtuvieron tres candidaturas, mientras que La La Land recibió dos, tras no figurar en el apartado de mejor elenco.
La ceremonia es el 29 de enero en el Shrine Auditorium de Los Ángeles.
